Personality ::
Wolf is a bit of a strange character, as for however complicated his personality may be, it is unlikely that you will see more than one side at any time, meaning he can sometimes appear quite two dimensional when he really isn't. Whether this is a deliberate trick of his, or just happens coincidentally no one but Wolf knows. Because of how little Wolf lets others in, it is fairly easy to simply make assumptions about him, and make him appear to be something he is not. It really depends on his mood when you try and interact with him, as although he is generally too shy to be rude, if his mood is bad enough then he will be without any cause. This could give the impression that he is a rude individual to be avoided, however he really is not. Of course he does have his flaws... And many at that. Aggressive tendencies when provoked, a short temper, a disliking towards loud noises and interaction in general on occasions. However everything has an explanation. The short temper and aggressive tendencies are some parts of himself that he would wish to change, but can not. They deeply upset him, as he does not like acting out in the slightest. He doesn't feel like himself when he gets angry precisely for this reason - he feels like some kind of monster, losing himself little by little and breaking down on the inside till it becomes too much and shows on the outside. This is why he is often found running away from situations where he has been angered, as he really does not wish for anyone to see him cry. It isn't that he has an image to uphold, or that it would damage his reputation, he just doesn't wish for anyone to see him at his most vulnerable. Mostly for his own protection, however also because he doesn't wish to upset or worry others. Despite his colder exterior, he is quite warm on the inside, if you really get to know him. If he lets you in close. Of course he can be cold to anyone, however his friends will typically see a different side to him. Not the scared, nervous, even shy, little dog... But a much more confident, happy dog. Even to the point of being a little cocky and conceited at times when he's having fun. He'll joke and tease as everyone does, he'll retain some of the shyness as it is not so easily lost, and will be extremely embarrassed should he be complimented, but it's a completely different side to the broken little pup that he hides away. And unlike the colder side he shows to strangers, this is real. As a friend he is incredibly loyal, and would do anything for a true friend, as long as he feels that the same would be said if it were the other way round. He doesn't like to see anyone unhappy, however he will only act on this if it is a friend... Then he would do anything within his power to change their day for the better. Sometimes it isn't possible, but he'll stay there with them and just keep trying, because that's who he is. See, not so cold and rude, is he? Despite enjoying the feeling of helping others, he will refuse help for himself. You see, this little dog has plenty of issues, of all sorts. Some of which are particularly difficult for him to talk about, so he doesn't. He will bottle it all up, and that will be the end of it, until the bottle is full and can't take any more. Then it smashes into a million pieces, taking his clarity with it, and creating a period of depression. Not just depression though, he will become highly defensive, even with friends, and will not wish to be bothered. He'll act aggressively, and become very rude, even hurtful, but really all he wants when he is like that is for someone to push past that and still comfort him, even though he had told them to do the opposite. This is how he subconsciously sorts through those he cares about... As it's proof that they care just as much as he does. Wolf has a tendency to become quite attached to others, even if he doesn't open up to them, he will still become quite hurt if they did anything to potentially harm him. For that's just who he is...
A cold, grumpy little pup with a broken core.

History ::
Wolf's history is complicated, just as Merr's is, though for different reasons. Wolf has two histories, one that is the truth, and one that is a lie. His brain had been rewired so that he wasn't aware of what he was, who he was... and this has greatly affected him over the years. On the left is the history that he had been told, and on the right is the real one.

Wolf's parents were never really very close. They weren't the type to argue, but the mood in his family as he grew up was never really a happy one. His dad had a bit of a temper, and sometimes when he was stressed and upset about his work, Wolf would take the blame and the punishment to go along with it. He grew up believing that everything was his fault, even when he knew it wasn't, he would take on the blame and make himself upset about it. He didn't have a particularly bad time while growing up, not as much as others anyway, but still he could not exactly call it rainbows and sunshine. He bottled up everything, and refused to talk to his parents about personal matters, so he grew up quite distant. Throughout his years growing up, he considered himself to be inadequate, and this reflected in his attitude changes. He developed a temper, just as his father had, although he hated himself for being so similar to him. He punished himself for a long time about it emotionally, before accepting that taking on all that was not going to help anyone. Particularly not himself. He tried to change himself, to fit in with others, but at the end of the day, he couldn't really change who he was. Didn't stop him from trying. He made some good friends, but kept his personal details close to himself, not sharing anything that was going on with him. He suffered for a long time before he finally decided to do something about it. He spoke to someone, and tried to work himself through his issues, which did help him though he still tried to bottle it up without realising. Moving away from where he had spent the majority of his life was a big step in his healing process, and relieved him of a lot of his stress. He made new friends in this area, and calmed down a lot more. But he still keeps to himself.

Wolf was born Nicholas, though Wolf was immediately a pet name given to him by his mother behind his father's back. There was a lot of conflict in his family, as his infernite father was not actually his father, as his mother had slept with a dark elf, Malekith. She hid her child from her husband for as long as she could manage, but it was inevitable that he would be found. She was punished, but nothing so damaging as having her child taken from her. Little Nick was moved far from his mother's reach, into another realm, where he was left in the snow to die. And die he would have done had the events not gone exactly as they had. For Nick was a fighter, "a wolf" as his mother put it, and he found a way to survive. The cold wasn't a problem for him, his core temperature made sure of that, but it was hunger that would kill him. It almost did, until he stumbled upon an injured dark elf dire wolf by chance in that wilderness. Nick barely made it to the side of the dark elf before falling unconscious, right at death's door. But he didn't die, the dark elf saved him and nursed him back to health while making use of the pup's scent, as the infernite would scare off anything that would try and attack them. When they were both back to full health, and the pup had been taught all he needed to know, they parted ways, and with the new skills he had learned from observing the dark elf, Nick could now survive on his own. It was while he was with this dark elf that his other half finally properly reared its head. He was quite sick for days on end, was very weak and in an awful lot of pain. Though just as he was starting to get over it, he felt better than ever - stronger than ever. Malekith had secured it away inside of him with a padlock. His left eye went red to show the change within him, and his body was much more powerful. But the illness had taken its toll, and the next thing he knew, he was waking up on Midgard with false memories and no clue of who he really was.

Though it took a long time, throughout many lifetimes, Wolf finally found someone who could tell him more about himself. He was a very handsome canine named Loki, who Wolf very quickly fell for. They conflicted a little personality-wise, but Wolf toned it down and tried to make it work because he needed the other to tell him about himself. The pair travelled far and wide, finding out little bits about Wolf, until they finally tracked down someone who knew the whole story, Wolf's father. After having a serious go at him for leaving him on Earth with no clue who he was, Wolf started the long process of bonding with his father, something that although his father was not so keen on, he put up with. Time passed, and with their mission no longer keeping them on the same side, Wolf and Loki drifted apart. They had started fighting, some of these fights got quite bad, so they broke it off. Wolf was very bitter about the ordeal, but he recovered without too much damage due to the other connections he had made during the time he had known Loki, most notably the one with his father who was there to comfort him when he needed it.
