Personality ::
Miles is a highly intelligent being with a head for war. He is attempting to learn now that he has been exposed to it, but he still struggles with empathy and sympathy for other beings. As a result of this, and his general attitude, he can come off as being very cold and distant. Sometimes it is because he doesn't understand the way others are feeling, and sometimes he just doesn't care because it doesn't affect him. It's not selfishness, but the way he was designed, so he will consider individuals quite small and insignificant in comparison to the bigger picture. This is shown most in the way that he is able to completely shut off his emotions, and commit actions of terrible violence without mercy or guilt. When called to be, he is ruthless and determined to complete his mission regardless of the consequences, however his time with Azul is teaching him to question. Though still dutiful and loyal, now he will sometimes question the morality of an action before he does it. It is quite clear that he still has a way to go before it becomes actually making decisions based on this morality rather than just questioning it. His time with Azul has taught him a lot more about himself than he had learned in the many millions of years before him. He is much more of an individual rather than a weapon, and possesses his doubts and flaws now just like everyone else. He is very protective over the ones he has grown to care for, which is against everything he was taught, and can be quite possessive over his mate. If he were in a situation where he would need to hurt Azul to save others, he would have a hard time doing so. Of course he hasn't gotten so much past his internal wiring that he wouldn't do it, but now it would hurt him as well. That doesn't mean that he won't hurt Azul, in fact sometimes if provoked, he can be quite vicious even towards his bonded partner, but that just goes to show how damaged and corrupt his mind has become over the years. Still, Azul wouldn't have him any other way, because like this Miles is his equal rather than the slave or soldier he was made to be.

History ::
The individual now known as “Miles” is one of the ever decreasing numbers of first generation angels created by the creator in the very beginning. He was among the numbers of angels who questioned their creator when it started doting on the humanoids that were developing in the mortal realm, but he was clever enough to avoid standing out too much. As a result, he was given the option to stay or go, and he knew his best option was to stay, so those doubts were blocked off in his mind. He watched his brothers and sisters fall, then helped to maintain order on the mortal plane until the first war broke out, doing his duty as he was wired to do. As a well respected member of the species, he was given a key position in the war effort, controlling a number of lower angels. Many of these lower angels were lost in the war. When their side won the war, he found it difficult to adjust to regular life, and became a little more unstable, so he was sent away to the mortal realm for some time to ensure that everything was as it should be. During this period he was tasked with assessing potential dangers to the "light wings"s way of life, and was told to eliminate any threats. This is when he first met Dracula, the King of Vampires. They spent some time together while Miles assessed his case, but he was deemed to not be a threat to the light wings and was left alone. Shortly after this period of calm, their creator disappeared, and has not been heard from since.
Several conflicts later, now back home pretty much permanently, he had just settled himself when the latest war began. The enemy was much stronger than they had ever seen them before, and they took the upper hand. The light forces were dying off, and the mortal realm was being destroyed in the process, so Miles joined together with a demon, Azul, to try and restore the balance.Together they fought to restore the balance, and end the war. Though peace never lasts, with the Prince of Hell and a son of Heaven joined as mates, they have much more control over how things will progress in the future.
